Spectacular BIG BAY!
Big Bay, a sought-after suburb for both first time homeowners and established families due to its close proximity to everything SPECTACULAR!
The iconic view of Table Mountain in all its glory sets the idealistic backdrop to the Big Bay Beach. When the South Easter is blowing a gale, the mountain wears it’s beautiful, white coat of whispy clouds, giving the experience as though you are looking at a waterfall.
Sparkling blue waters with waves made for the perfect surf or boogie alike makes it a popular surfing spot, when the wind turns, the sky becomes a colourful array of kites as kit and windsurfers turn the bay into their playground. Between the waves and white horses, you can often spot them gaining momentum and leaping across the sky.
Ideally positioned next to a buzzing strip of restaurants and shop, Eden on the Bay is the location well-known in the area to enjoy sunsets, cocktails and Friday evening “welcome to the week-end” drinks together. Between laughter, one gets to enjoy the magnificent views and Robben Island and the Atlantic Ocean.
In terms of a property investment, an increasing trend reflected in recently statistics reflect that buyers seek safety first when shortlisting properties, they are considering. Big Bay is considered one of the safest suburbs in Cape Town with its extensive monitored camera network and various community initiatives. Many complexes in the Big Bay area also offer 24-hour manned security with their own additional measures in place.
Another important factor people consider when investing in an area is the condition the communal or municipal grounds are kept. Big Bay gardens are mostly indigenous (particularly after the drought of 2018) and this attracts many species of birds and butterflies, creating a special ecosystem. A favorite of ours is to listen out to the lovely sounds of toads as they settle on nearby ponds for the night.
